H&M (blazer, denim) | ZARA (shoes) | HARRISON BLAKE (lapel flower) | BEDFORD&BROOME (tie)

For the first time in my life, I won something. Can you imagine my excitement?

See that tie I'm rocking? Yea, I won it from Bedford&Broome. I'm from New York City, so I get really stoked about products that are locally made. Bedford&Broome's products are handcrafted in Brooklyn; it doesn't get any better than that. A good amount of their ties are a combination of two different fabrics. This Tilden necktie, for instance, has a plain burgundy front, but the tail is a navy plaid. Made from 100% cotton, it looks and feels great. I love it!

You want to know how I won the tie? I followed their Instagram to keep up with them, tagged a friend who would wear their products, and chose Bedford. Give it a try, you might be the next winner!

This #ootd is about building relationships. Relationships are the key to success. I once read that there is no  such thing as a self-made man. I've come to accept that as the truth. Everybody needs a little help, and nobody ever makes it alone.

The amalgation of the colors - brown, burgundy, beige and black, is very alluring. I'm wearing black jeans as my base with a complimenting sleek watch. I debated on a number of shirts but I decided to go with the white to prevent any clashes. When in doubt, wear white is what I say. The cap-toe shoes pair well with the tie and the gingham blazer for a powerful statement. Remember, it's ok be a little playful with your socks.

This story is that of how "A hero knows that asking for help is a sign of strength and saves the day when he needs a helping hand." Build and maintain relationships by remaining loyal, lending a hand, and asking for help.
