A Classic Pairing: Blue & Brown

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it." The popular idiom can certainly be applied to this quintessential pairing - the amalgam of blue and brown hues. Stylish folks have trusted and applied this mélange for years, and there is no reason that should ever be revised. Blue, just as much as brown, are both such versatile colors that can stand out on their own, yet they can achieve even greater visually stimulating results when they work together.

Although one can't be wrong with this particular combination of colors, as with most things, there is a proper way to do so. Of course, there are many factors to consider like patterns, shades, textures, and sizes to guide you along the way. My counsel is to stick to solid pairings to begin, focusing on the obvious contrast. Once comfort is reached, you can feel free to spruce it up and change things around.

A dark brown, heritage check vest and trouser combo as the centerpiece is best accentuated with light colors surrounding it. Opting for a spread collared shirt easily projects an intimate level of confidence, and the addition of a contrasting tie compliments the entire ensemble. When it comes to footwear, tan brown shoes are always a classic staple. I recommend wearing a pair of brogues if your wish is to reinforce an air of elegance and class.
